I've been using Outlook 2016 (Outlook for Mac) since it was released not long ago. The version I have installed should be the latest, 15.8.1 (150311). Let me describe my problem. I have a meeting on my calendar. It took place today March 31st at 9:30 AM EST. Yes, that was the actual time of the meeting.
Dec 11, 2018 Hi S-Rose, I understand that it would be more convenient that there is a preview pane of the calendar. However, it is not feasible to set up this in Outlook for Mac 2016. I just purchase the new 2016 Office Business for work for my Mac with EL Captain installed. When printing the calendar a few things happen, the print is extra large, Not all the calendar prints; The page number at the bottom is a mirror image and reads backwards. Any ideas or are we waiting for a fix.
It is showing on my calendar in the week view (same for day view) as 9:30 AM EST on the correct day. This meeting was sent from someone located in the UK and the time for them would be 1:30 PM UTC. I should note that right now it is only a 4 hour difference (not 5 hours) as their daylight savings time takes place on a different day. So far everything checks out.
When I open the meeting notice it lists the start time as 1:30 PM and end time as 3:00 PM. Below that it says the time zone is UTC. Outlook even gives me a warning that the meeting starts at 9:30 AM in my computer's timezone See attachment. I don't understand why Outlook displays the meeting in the scheduled time zone versus mine. Is anyone else having this problem? Any ideas of how to solve this?
I've tried searching google and I generally get links related to Outlook 2011. If figured I'd give one of my favorite Mac site's forums a try. I also tried searching here and didn't find anything related. I should also clarify the following facts: - I all of my meetings scheduled from the UK are displaying this way - I opened outlook 2011 for Mac and everything is just fine - I opened outlook on my windows machine and everything is just fine - I am on OS X 10.10.2. I am having this problem as well.

Running Microsoft Outlook for Mac version 15.21.1 connected to my corporate Exchange Server. Whenever I create a new meeting with my iPhone (iOS 9.3.1), it appears in the UTC time zone in Outlook and I get a warning that the event starts in my computer's time zone. Both the Mac and the iPhone are set for New York (Eastern time zone). When the meeting is opened in Outlook 2016 (PC version), it appears correctly, so the issue is with the Mac. Happens on all three of my Macs (iMac, MacBook Pro, MacBook Air) plus my co-workers have the same issue. Any idea how to get the Mac to display the appointments correctly in my time zone? I am having this problem as well.

Click to expand.I am seeing the same problem today and have been tackling it since March. I work in the IT Dept for my company and have spent many hours on the issue. This will be a long post so here's the SHORT VERSION: - create appointment on the iphone, it shows correctly on the phone and in the 'day' view of Outlook 2016 BUT when you open the appointment in Outlook it tells you the appointment starts at a different time. ANY appointments that he is invited to = not created on his own Mac 2016 Outlook - the time zone is set to UTC. It gives the warning, but if he wanted to change it, it would be all messed up unless he goes in and changes the Time Zone on the calendar entry.
Another clue that might help someone. Every time I go into his Date/Time settings on the System Preferences of his MacOS, Outlook will pop up a message saying 'The time zone setting for your computer has changed. Would you like to update the time zone setting in Outlook?' With an update and Don't Update buttons. But - I haven't changed the time zone. I just opened up the preferences.
